Manu Berry

Manu Berry is a printmaker ,specialising in woodcut prints, working from a central Dunedin studio .
He calls on both Japanese and German traditions in this medium, to interpret and explore various aspects of the environment.

Manu was born in, and spent his childhood in St Bathans, a small historic village in Central Otago, where his mother,Pauline Bellamy, was living as a painter. They shifted to Dunedin in 1990, and Manu spent his high school years involved in the arts. After a year at the Dunedin School of Art, Manu began a full time practice of printmaking and has continued from various points around N Z and the world since.

He now lives in Hamilton Bay,beyond Port Chalmers on the Otago harbour.
